Minimum Wages Hiked in Delhi

The Delhi government on Friday decided to implement the hiked rates for minimum wages of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled categories of workers in all employments from October 1.The minimum monthly wage of unskilled workers has been fixed at Rs 7,254 as against Rs 7,020.The daily wage has gone up from Rs 270 to Rs 279.For semiskilled workers, the minimum monthly wage is Rs 8,008 instead of the earlier Rs 7748.The daily wage has gone up from Rs 298 to Rs 308.
